AUSTRALIAN CHAMPION EMSARA THE SWIFT Ann passed away 2002

Ann was my very first Italian Greyhound and she came to me after a chance meeting with Mrs Janet Atherton from Darwin. Ann was looking for a home and I was looking for an Iggy and so it happened. I will be forever grateful to Mrs Atherton for her help.Ann is responsible for my longevity within the breed as I just adored her and she spoilt me for other breeds including the Chihuahuas who were mostly my mothers legacy. I mated Ann for my very first Iggy litters and three influential girls were born.
 
TUNAMARA KALISTA MISS (1993-2006)

Kelly was a lovely fawn and white girl that went on to a breeder in NSW. There she produced well and a pretty blue and white daughter came back to me. From this bitch I bred gold and white Tunamara Karisma who has given us sisters Tunamara Assienti and Tunamara Amelie.

Both of these girls were good mothers and were both mated to Ch. Piccino Fino with Amelie having her first litter in 2007 and producing Lamarque Masqueraide and Lamarque Pandemonium for Lamarque Kennels in SA. Assienti is retained by us and in 2008 gave us a lovely litter including Tunamara Autumn Gold  and Tunamara Aliha Farah and a super gold pied boy Tunamara Ad Miration who was retained by us for the showring. Karisma's very last litter for us contained a pretty black sable girl we have called Tunamara Annwyn and she will be retained. I believe that Kelly has passed away now but her legacy lives on in her grandchildren.   

TUNAMARA  GOLD DANCER (1995-2004)
Dancer was placed with Nunjee Kennels in the ninety's and was extremely influential in their breeding program. When the kennel closed in 2001 Deborah started her Maybri Kennels in Port Pirie using her mother's breeding stock and still has many descendants of Dancer in her lines today. Dancer is also the paternal grandmother of Tunamara Assienti and Tunamara Amelie so these girls have a double dose of Ann in their pedigree from both sides. Dancer is also the grandmother of Maybri Silver Frost, a dog that I admire and have often used in my breeding program.

TUNAMARA FERN GULLY (1995-2007)

Fern was the most important daughter of Ann to me as I kept her with me for her whole life. She was so much like her mother in type and temperament and sadly she passed away in 2007. Fern was a bitch that deserved her own page but I will keep the sisters together here.  I have many links to Fern in my pedigrees today. She had a fabulous litter to Zoe Catrina son Niaru Serpico which gave me my J litter. Champion Tunamara Jaymi went to Canmio kennels in Victoria where she has produced for them as well being very successful in the show ring. Tunamara Jessi went to Minaken kennels in NSW where she has produced Champions in her litters and Tunamara Jacob went to NSW also and has produced for his new owners as well as leaving Champion Tuscamada Just a Touch (dec) and Tuscamada Justa Tease locally. Just A Touch produced my girl T. Shanaia, and Justa Tease while living at Tuscamada Kennels had a lovely black and white pied girl named Tuscamada Tiana.

Fern's other son Tunamara Thunderheart gave me Igmajik Krystal Myst and the lovely boy Igmajik Sonata to continue her valuable lines here and Igmajik Montana at Igmajik kennels. Sonny and Montana are now happily settled in companion homes. Thunder lives a quiet life at Igmajik Kennels where he is loved and respected and we still introduce him to the occasional girlfriend.

As you can see from limited breedings (only three) Ann has left us a strong legacy of dogs that all typify the breed with strong conformation, lovely houndy heads and good bone.  
While looking at Ann's descendants let's not forget her other brilliant daughter Tunamara Swift Elegance who travelled interstate and has been successfully incorporated into the Wondoan, Piccino and Rhodeholme breeding programs producing the top bitch American and Australian Ch. Rhodeholme Jellybean and her champion offspring.

Ann was a wonderful foundation bitch and has created her own place in my influential Iggy list along with her daughters.
