Matthew 25:44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, "Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?"
Matthew 25:45 Then shall he answer them, saying, "Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me."
Letters To The Author
Joe,
I've been meaning to give you some feedback on your book, Letter to a Prisoner. As you know, I'm the Deputy Warden at a small military prison.
I put your book in our library where I've seen several prisoners read it and talk about it among themselves. They can certainly identify with the content and it helps them focus on their situation. As you know, prison is a place where great changes occur within the soul and outwardly in an individual's life. Your highly effective book dovetails right into our reading program and our chaplain's motivation programs. People are 'ripe' for change during this process and your book helps them focus on their short and long-range goals.
Just wanted to thank you for your thoughtfulness and wonderful book.
No doubt, it has helped many a prisoner...and a few staff members, too!
Thank you very much,
Jason Patterson

My dearest Joe – a copy of a note to HT supporters in South-Africa. Thanks so much again for my book! I read is the very next (early!) morning and could not put it down! Isn’t it amazing how far some of us have to go to see the Light?!
And sad to think that some of us go so far…. and then still do not see….. I am so happy for you Joe!
It took me some 47 years myself….my own prison…my own criminality. expressed differently…the criminality of ignorance…Thank God for taking me to the edge and granting me the freedom to fly!
With you in Spirit and hoping to make a huge difference in South-African Prisons.
With Love

Joe,
Thank you very much for taking the time, energy, and money, to send me a copy of your wonderful book.
It's a Great story. Very motivational. I took it to work today and my female assistant read it and loved it.
She said it was very straight forward, to the point, and motivating. She could not put the book down until
she finished reading it. Also, she made a copy of the book list you recommended and she's going to read
a few of those as well!!!
You the man.
I'll pass the book around to many prisoners.
In the mail back to you, is a "thank you" card.
I really appreciate your 'connection'.
Stay in touch.
Cheers&love,

Dear Joseph:
It is with great pleasure that I write this letter in gratitude and respect for the work you choose to do for prisoners.
Your Letter To A Prisoner is a great testimony to the change that can happen to a person in a very dark place in his life.
You show with transparency how life in an incarcerated setting can be both before and after experiencing a moment of grace.
By sharing this Letter with other prisoners, I know you bring a ray of hope to people who are used to living in the dark.
Thank you for doing that, the world needs as much light as we can shine on it.
With love,

Letter to a Prisoner is the extraordinary story of Joseph Wolfes’ life as a prisoner in an American jail. The truth of the events reflect the ability of one mans spirit to transcend all and experience “Realization” through Divine Intervention. Here is the proof it is possible to experience God within the confines of hell in whatever form hell takes. Joes’ captivating account of the events of his journey are chilling as well as uplifting. This is a story worth reading by those who are presently incarcerated as well as those who think enlightenment cannot be realized in an instant when God sends the message.
Letter to a Prisoner
A Journey of the Spirit Mys Wizard

Appreciation of the Book "Letter to a Prisoner" by Joe Wolfe
When I was reading "Letter to a Prisoner" I was drawn into the atmosphere of prison life.
I felt I was there with Joe, facing the fears and challenges that are brought home to you when your freedom is taken away: the boredom, the repetitive routines, the power struggles and pecking order of institutional living.
Joe's story of finding God in the depths of despair is very moving and shows how you can find freedom and peace even in places where confinement is absolute – where all the normal freedoms are removed: no social contact, no treats, just the monotony of the daily routine.
Joe found his way to freedom and peace by looking deeply within himself. He merged his consciousness with the Divine within and found that life force we call God. Joe realized that no one can make you a prisoner: we do it to ourselves.
Through our belief systems we hand our sovereignty over to another.
Through the connection to the Divine, Joe found freedom even within his confinement. He became aware that the dweller within the body is not the body: that he is, first and foremost, a spiritual being that is one with the whole universe.
He found the ultimate freedom during a profound out-of-body experience. This changed Joe's life and attitude to living, as he realized the true nature of the oneness and wholeness of life.
These deep spiritual experiences, once realized, change one's perspective on life and living.
They changed Joe's life from one of crime to one of helping others see the same realizations and experience the same inner joy, just to be alive and know one's Self, regardless of where you are and what conditions you live in.
Joe found the healing and inner peace that comes from the Self realized, the connection to the Divine and the connection to God. I feel truly blessed to know Joe and see the profound work he now does through his prison outreach schemes.
My heart goes out to him and all prisoners and I send you all peace and healing.

I just purchased and read your Letter for the first time in its entirety---I had read a part of it before, but did not honestly know you had wrote about it in such detail until today. It really is an amazing story and your gift for writing kept me at my computer reading the e-book from start to finish....I have to say that your life story reminds me of a cross between Andy Dufresne's in Shawshank Redemption and Cool Hand Luke-...and I think there would have been a day when I may not have wanted to meet you in dark ally...lol...anyway, your story is just incredible....
I plan on tuning into your interview while I am working as I work from home and am on the net when you will have that interview.
Wow Joe!
