All bitches must be over two years of age, in good health, up to date on current vaccines and heartworm preventative.

OFA or PENNHIP, current eye clearance not more than 12 months old, five generation pedigree, current photo of bitch and Brucellosis are mandatory prior to coming to stud. Brucellosis will be no more than thirty days old and must be in hand before the breeding takes place. Results should be provided on your vet's original letterhead showing an original signature with complete address and current phone.

We are in agreement with both ASCA and USASA’s statement regarding the miniature Australian Shepherd; therefore no bitch shall be registered with any of the miniature/toy registries. Neither shall any of this offspring be registered in or bred to an Australian Shepherd that is registered in any of the miniature/toy registries. Mini/toy registries include, but are not limited to NSDR, ASDR, MASCA, NAMASCUSA, MASANA, NASA and ARBA.

The Following Terms Shall Apply:

The stud fee is $800 and is payable under the following terms:

Puppy back in lieu of Stud Fee* __________ _

If the Stud fee is to be a puppy back, it is agreed that the owner of the bitch will have 1st choice if he/she plans to keep a puppy from this litter in his/her possession and as full legal owner. In this case, the owner of the stud will have 2nd pick of remaining pups. If the owner of the bitch will not keep possession of any pup from this litter, the owner of the stud will have 1st pick. It is agreed that the stud owners pick puppy will carry the Showdown kennel name.

Selection of puppy by the stud owner will be done when the puppies are 7 weeks of age. The stud owner will chose the puppy in person or will have ______________________ select the puppy on her behalf. Prior to selection of puppy by stud owner, the breeder agrees to provide the stud owner with evaluation notes, stacked photo's showing all four sides of puppies (front, back and both sides), and if possible, movement video of puppies.

Three live and healthy puppies are guaranteed from this breeding. A later return service is available to the same bitch in a later heat to the same stud dog if three or more puppies do not result from this breeding.

If three live and healthy puppies are not produced from the rebreeding, the stud fee shall be forfeited by the bitch owner. Should three live and healthy puppies not be produced from the first breeding and the bitch is not rebred on her next heat cycle, then the bitch owner forfeits the stud fee.

*Pups culled due to lack of trim are considered live and healthy puppies*

Additional terms as agreed upon by both the bitch and the stud owner:

Fresh Chilled Semen: All costs are the responsibility of the bitch owner. The collection and shipping of Fresh Chilled Semen will be provided by Dr. Hutchinson of Northview Animal Clinic. Certified viable semen will be provided to a licensed veterinarian chosen by the bitch owner. All semen will be inseminated into one bitch resulting in one litter. Only one litter registration will be signed by the stud owner. Any excess semen will be destroyed.

In the case of AI, the guarantee is two live and healty puppies. If two live and healthy puppies do not result from this breeding, A later return service is available to the same bitch at a later heat, however all vet costs, progesterone testing, semen collection, shipping costs, etc are the responsibility of the bitch owner. The bitch owner reserves the option to choose the rebreeding by live cover. If no live and healthy puppies are produced from the rebreeding, the stud fee shall be forfeited by the bitch owner.

Transportation and Boarding:

A boarding fee of $7.00 per day will be charged should the bitch stay longer than 10 days. A fee of .38 cents per mile will be charged for transportation to and from Akron Canton Airport or Cleveland Hopkins Airport. Mileage for a ONE WAY trip to Akron Canton Airport is 14.62; Cleveland Hopkins Airport is 62.22 miles for a ONE WAY trip.

Additional information concerning this breeding:

The bitch owner agrees to contact the stud owner on the day the litter is born to report on sex, tail length and color of puppies. It is agreed that all mismarks shall be sold on spay/neuter contracts only.

The bitch owner agrees to provide spay/neuter contracts in writing on all pups produced from this cross that will be sold into pet homes. Additionally, bitch owner agrees to mark those pups as “limited” on their registration papers.

The bitch owner agrees that any written or verbal guarantees provided to the puppy buyers from this cross are solely the bitch owner’s responsibility.

The bitch owner agrees to share any and all health and genetic related issues that may arise now or in the future on all pups from this cross in a timely fashion.

Stud owners will take every reasonable care to ensure the safety of the bitch. The bitch owner holds the stud owners harmless from any liability with regards to the bitch while the bitch is in the care of the stud owner. Likewise, the stud owner holds the bitch owner harmless from any liability while the bitch is in the stud owner’s care.

This bitch shall be provided with adequate food, water, shelter and care equal to that of the quality our own dogs receive. This bitch will be sheltered inside our residence (home) while in the care of Showdown Australian Shepherds. If food is not provided by the bitch owner, the bitch will be fed our current holistic food, Life’s Abundance by Healthy Pet Net. There will be no additional charge for feeding Life’s Abundance to this bitch for the first ten days.

The bitch Owner warrants that the bitch has not been exposed to any other stud dog from the start of her heat cycle. Bitch owner also agrees to keep the bitch properly confined following the breeding to ensure no other dog could mate her accidentally, before mating season is finished.

The bitch owner certifies that this bitch is in good health, free from all worms, fleas, ticks, Brucellosis, and sexually transmitted disease. Bitch owner certifies that this bitch is up to date on vaccines including rabies. Stud owner warrants that stud is free from all worms, fleas, ticks, Brucellosis, sexually transmitted disease and is up to date on vaccines including rabies.

Should this bitch require veterinarian care while in the care of Showdown Australian Shepherds, the bitch owner agrees to pay for all charges incurred by a veterinarian of the stud owner’s choice. Every reasonable effort will be made to contact the bitch owner prior to any veterinarian care that may be required, however, the health and welfare of the bitch shall take precedence should we be unable to contact the bitch owner in a timely fashion.

The bitch owner agrees that no puppies shall be sold to any Dog Broker, Pet Store, "Designer" dog program, Research Facility, Retail or Wholesale outlet. Additionally, it is agreed that no puppies shall be registered as a North American Shepherd, Miniature Australian Shepherd, Miniature American Shepherd or any other names reflecting those of the mini/toy breed. A fine of $2500.00 will be assessed per breach of every portion of the contract broken in this section.

This stud contract shall be in full force and effect when signed by all parties named herein. Stud owner certifies that the above stud information is true and correct. Bitch owner certifies that the above information is true and correct.

By signing below, all parties named herein agree to be bound by the terms as set forth above. Should legal action be necessary to force the terms of this stud contract, suit shall be filed at the stud owner's residence which is currently in the County of Stark State of Ohio.
