Our focus at Showdown is on raising athletic, versatile Aussies with an eye on health, temperament, soundness, structure and biddability to compete in multi venues. Breeding stock is ASCA DNA, OFA, CERF clear annually and DNA Clear of the HSF4 cataract mutation.
Our Policy Regarding The Miniature/Toy Australian Shepherd Breed
Showdown Aussies does not support or condone the purposeful breeding and misrepresentation of the miniature/toy Australian Shepherd as a size variety of the Australian Shepherd. The miniature/toy Aussies are a distinct and separate breed apart from the Australian Shepherd. Miniature/toy Aussies are not recognized as a size variety by ASCA, AKC, UKC, CKC or FCI.
Showdown Aussies is in agreement with both ASCAand USASA statements regarding the miniature Australian Shepherd; therefore no Showdown dogs will be bred to any dog who is cross registered with any of the miniature/toy registries. Neither shall any Showdown offspring be registered in or bred to an Australian Shepherd that is registered in any of the miniature/toy registries. Mini/toy registries include, but are not limited to, NSDR, ASDR, MASCA, NAMASCUSA, NASA, MASANA, MAS, MASCUSA, IMASC, and ARBA.
