The Gallery uses eleven links to give us space for expansion.  These are each capable of holding 50 photographs.   As with all free packages there are inconveniences and you will undoubtedly encounter 'pop-ups' and advertising.

Clearing the path is usually straightforward but you may care to note that holding down the Control button while clicking on your selected item usually does the trick.
