Please take note that contributions are payable even if days are missed in term (due to holiday or illness) - this enables us to meet our most important monthly expense - our teachers salaries!
Our aim in creating this little playgroup is to bring into being a safe haven for childhood – a place where our children can develop their full physical, emotional and mental potential. We have found through experience the Waldorf curriculum the most suitable to address the development of the child and to provide a holistic and healthy learning.
To enable any initiative to thrive it needs to be financially viable. We hope to raise money in different ways:
- The most reliable income will be the monies contributed by each family and gives a stable “backbone” to the initiative
- Fundraising events are great for raising additional revenue and creating community building opportunities.
- Gifts and donations from interested individuals and organisations that wish to support what we do
- Sponsorship of specific places for children of need
At present we are not envisaging using “loan” money. This is made possible by the premises being provided.
If at any point we have a surplus of money we wish those funds to be used to further Waldorf education, to enable training of teachers and to create places for children that may not have the financial means to attend.
For this purpose we have created a Volunatary Association on 28 March 2009 and have just been registered as a Non-profit organisation.
