11.    11/24/10    For far too long Public Holidays have gone by the wayside for us, We in unity are going to get back the true value of what a Public Holiday means, Let's not give up any more conditions to gain back what is rightfully ours in the first place.
12.    11/23/10    To negotiate is to move forward! To receive remuneration in one hand, and have it removed from the other is dishonest! Remember, No loss of existing working conditions!
13.    11/22/10    today i missed my best mates party please remember our social and family life suffers
14.    11/17/10    To all delegates, Stew, Malcolm, Crickey, David, Tony, Michael, we are proud of you. A job well done, not over yet though.

16.    11/16/10    To all the boys on the EB committee, good job on all the hard work. Lets hope they listen......
17.    11/15/10    today i worked north south east west 300km in a shift talk about a green company
18.    11/15/10    "@AP" Then there is your problem? A verbal aggreement back then, particularly when the parties have moved on, is not binding? Maybe check with TP62. he was a Field Super at the time. A.P.
19.    11/15/10    it is documented in the minutes as was the pay for battery manager wages taken from the patrols share
20.    11/14/10    Southside Team2/Danny's team XMAS FUNCTION !!!Reminder to pay by the 17th. Cheers Warren 04
21.    11/14/10    @AP, it is not documented. It was verbal, so we accept selling batt. Perhaps other vetrans can verify this.
22.    11/12/10    "In 1997 Garth & Les"... Show us where it is documented please? A.P.
23.    11/12/10    Does anyone know what Patrols in other states are being paid?
24.    11/12/10    In 1997 Garth and Les promised us batt profit sharing once initial setup costs were met. It never happened, as expected. I will be happy to sell batt bonus to the club for 10%, nothing less.
25.    11/10/10    am i wrong to want what is lawfully mine do the right thing
26.    11/10/10    today i worked in 35 degree heat in long cloths WTF
27.    11/10/10    Re "So many" r u happy with the current rain coat,I'm not ! r u happy with the amount of O/T being evenly distributed,Im not . r u happy with the current uniform,Im not..Do I want a dry raincoat /to work overtime/to wear a comfortable COOL uniform .YEP
28.    11/10/10    Is there such a thing as a "public holiday" for us "green apples"?
29.    11/10/10    @ex065, keep it coming mate. If you worked on public holidays, you are still part of us, stay tuned for more.
30.    11/10/10    @"So many guys complaining" Get out of contact centre and do some work on the road, bludger.
31.    11/10/10    Nice fruit? which gets to be bitten first?
32.    11/10/10    "Have your say"... just aware to read the survey questions closely as they are generic to other than RACQ. A.P.
33.    11/09/10    Have your say elsewhere as well. Make the effort to fill out the Employee Opinion Survey. Maybe management will listen to the "green apple" when it is reflected back through Hewitt.
34.    11/09/10    i have always had been concerned about those public holidays
35.    11/09/10    we all enjoy our job we just want to keep it that way as they say only dead fish go with the flow so get some balls and stick up for your rights
36.    11/09/10    make no mistake, the "green apple" bites back in style. Huge storms predicted for this summer.
37.    11/09/10    I haven't read or heard one comment from a patrol who is complaining about his "craft"."Providing exceptional road service to members".I think you've missed the point..It would be like a musician complaining about music. That's not what we are on about.
38.    11/09/10    Re/ "So many guys" Its not that patrols are complaining about job aspects , its more that when you line the ball up , Have a great kick , Some BUFFOON runs out and REMOVES the goal post, P.S Have a nice enjoyable,, positive outweighed life .....
39.    11/08/10    So many guys complaining about so many aspects of the job, I wonder why more don't just leave? I for one enjoy what I do & believe the positives far outweigh the negatives!!
40.    11/08/10    how come i dont know about a meeting on the 16th? is it only for the priviledged few?mushrooms??????
41.    11/08/10    sure we should allow ex staff to air their views on this site.
42.    11/08/10    "not sure we should" - sounds like I struck a nerve ex 065
43.    11/08/10    today i fixed a problem that no one else has been able to fix thats why members stay with us because we are good at what we do
44.    11/07/10    "not sure we should" ... Maybe it's like having something to say without leaving at least your initials after your comment. A.P.
45.    11/06/10    Am I missing something? Is management becoming more arrogant the last few years with the constant change in lineup? Or is it I am a tad slow! They make changes to the way racq operates but then hold back on wages when things don't workout their way. A.P.
46.    11/05/10    not sure we should allow ex staff to air their views on this site.
47.    11/05/10    today I worked instead of having a social life with my family, only have to wait 2 months to be social again L.G
48.    11/05/10    i suspect "today i read" is a patrol trying to pretend to be management so they can stir the pot
49.    11/05/10    IAfter reading all these comments, some tottally stupid i might add it sounds like it might be a noisey meeting on the 16th hope u all have the balls to voice your opinions in open forrum then !!!! Craig 076
50.    11/05/10    Today I served members because I get paid to do it.
51.    11/05/10    Hi again guys, sounds like you ALL need to get together and come up with a work to rule program to help with EB negotiations, don't let them take anything away under the pretence of a wage rise, don't loose anymore benefits ex 065
52.    11/04/10    today i washed my truck read all my e mails did all my paperwork talk to the members sold them a battery and charger a windscreen got them to upgrade to ultra insteed of reading a book
53.    11/04/10    @dimwit. I am ready, willing & able to do as much work as is req. Unfortunately I work in a quieter area of Bris than you obviously do. I presume u r one of the chosen few that also get all the OT & earn 6 figures? Be grateful for your luck jerkoff.
54.    11/04/10    I suspect "today I read" is from management trying to stir the pot.
55.    11/03/10    today i realized what a great job I have
56.    11/03/10    Quote: Patrol meal break at home is like a cheque "NOT NEGOTIABLE".. Explain what you mean please? Given it is just 30minites. A.P.
57.    11/03/10    The current negoiations for a pay rise after being behind 3yrs is to give up entitlements gained over the years? Is it really a pay rise then? An analogy would be; work more hours to get a that pay rise! Less hourly rate in realityl A.P.
58.    11/03/10    TODAY like every day for the last 2 months or so, I thought to myself that life is sooooooo much better now that I have nothing to do with cars but more so have nothing to do with the RACQ
59.    11/03/10    today i saved a baby from heat stress put a price on that
60.    11/02/10    Team 2 /Danny's Team Function Saturday27th is booked , Please contact Warren 04 for any queries.
61.    11/02/10    @fleet, yes u can read a book, watch TV, have a coffee, BBQ, beer, all in comfort indoors, yet get paid more. Good luck.
62.    11/02/10    Whoever wrote "today I read"have showed their true colours with a comment like that.Come out with me for a day and actually see what we have to do. Then you'll change your tune you dimwit....
63.    11/02/10    today i worked because I got paid
64.    11/01/10    Patrol meal break at home is like a cheque "NOT NEGOTIABLE"
65.    10/31/10    today i worked on a 60 degree slope all for the members
66.    10/31/10    Gee! had a great day today helping members out, it was hot though, but all worthwile,I would be devastated if someone messed with such a great rewarding profession.
67.    10/31/10    Today I read a book for hours, will they let us do that at fleet?
68.    10/31/10    Compare job conditions & pay to your friends or others you know. Patrols, and contractors for that matter, are fast becoming low paid workers. Only a few years ago a Patrols pay was amoungst the middle class. Not now even with some overtime. A.P.
69.    10/31/10    PCV's like all workers are a refection of the management behind them. In this instance, de-value the patrols (PCV's) postion to keep pay increases below standards. You guys are falling for it again. You let it happen at the last EB. A.P.
70.    10/31/10    New catchie anogram for patrols? "PCV" (Patrol Commercial Viability).. Contractors are known as "CSP". If that's the case, what do you call those who created the term, are they really as clever at management after all?
71.    10/28/10    today i worked in a thunder storm all for the members
72.    10/26/10    All we want is parity with the other 2 workforce, is that asking for too much. We dont mind driving to EMP in our own cars and logging on and off there.
73.    10/25/10    I really enjoyed the 4 yrs that I worked as a patrol, but it looks like you are still being screwed by management ex 065
74.    10/25/10    today i worked on the motorway with trucks and cars inchers from me for the love of the job
75.    10/24/10    Just to let you know itsTroy ex old ( 65 )
76.    10/24/10    still waiting 4 answer to comment #16 ASK my team leader he had no idea & cannot find or even remember who my manager is to ask?????
77.    10/21/10    ...cont, World class breakdown service is provided by the RACQ, This club is a result of the member-SP relationship. No stimulus package required, recession or no recession, regardless
78.    10/21/10    @Ex 065(Troy or Norm), you hit the nail on the head mate. w/o breakdown service,(as it was known as in our days) RACQ will be relegated to the likes of Marshall Batteries/Ultratune. Insurance is cheaper elsewhere. cont.......
79.    10/21/10    The interpretation of "Patrol commercial viability" (CSP Patrols included) is skewed. Ask any member why they joined the club. The answer is obvious. The problem is that the management is trying to fix something that is not broken.
80.    10/20/10    today i worked in the rain for the love of the job
81.    10/19/10    Perhaps management should look to the real cause of reduced "Patrol commercial viability". i.e., the shameful waste of resources by the contact cantre such as Patrols on OT while others on shift sit for hours doing nothing! Not our fault!!
82.    10/18/10    Perhaps management should be nominated for undercover boss Australia so they can actually see how patrols are the face of RACQ, without Patrols there goes the fat cat bonus Ex 065
83.    10/15/10    A 4yr old showing an 85yr old how to skin a cat is a perfect recipe for disaster.
84.    10/15/10    @good nos. to use, 612 is the best for cricket. Warnie vs Tendulkar "You provoke, I strike"
85.    10/14/10    7 9 10 1116 104 105 106 612 good numbers to use
86.    10/13/10    We have been around for 85yrs. The members know us personally.
87.    10/12/10    Something is not wright here? Looking at the dates of the commentary, the person looking after this site is falling behind (being very selective of favourable comments) or no one really cares until a patrol has a proper rant! cheers A.P.
88.    10/12/10    would have had dry jocks and socks over the last few days not a bad idea that working in a nice dry place and social life every weekend.............what is this???
89.    10/12/10    Its not all doom & gloom fella's , all of us just apply 4 jobs at FVMC & be financially and mentally better off !!!!!!! p.s and have a real life......
90.    10/11/10    oh excuse me member cau i use YOUR toilet
91.    10/11/10    QLD PATROLS give the best service out of all the clubs so why are we trying to adopt ideas from other clubs that are falling in membership leave our conditions along and find real solitions to your problems without prejudice QUEENSLANDER
92.    10/11/10    Question ; If our senior management & Ceo are so concerned about current & upcoming industry competition WHY THEN does RACQ Travel use MONDIAL ASSISTANCE for their Travel Insurance ; Go Figure!! Any sujjestions
93.    10/11/10    Glad i wasn't at that luncheon , would'nt have been pretty!!! Like to no how much it costs though''''
94.    10/11/10    the "compettitors popping up" are probably and most possibly all ex EMP management moving to the highest bidder thats the way their world works !!!!!!
95.    10/11/10    upset the workers at the coalface & YOU will be left in the cold;
96.    10/11/10    ctn;d have bailed out & gone to that competition eg allianze.like ceo's mgrs etc its all just a big WHO PAYS GETS ME game nothing to do with having your heart in it and loving the job &mbrs ; shame on you all; conditions to be traded; NIL !!!!!!
97.    10/11/10    As a patrol of 30 years service to mbrs it saddens & discusts me to read that my commercial viability is in jepoardy, shame on you &your like.Yes there is competition some call it healthy but dont forget even some of our so called mgr;s .ctn;d
98.    10/10/10    If RACQ maintains member trust then both strategically and organisationally the Club is protecting itself from competitors who pop up overnight.
99.    10/10/10    One would have thought in an era when technology in motor vehicles is changing so rapidly that to be in a position where you could retain and attract the best staff possible would continue to build the respect of RACQ as a Queensland Icon.
100.    10/10/10    I would like to see the rest of the CEO's statement. I don't know whether he is suggesting that Patrols providing member service is a thing of the past and uncompetitive. Or that Roadside assistance to members is not as vital as the other Club services.
101.    10/10/10    Yeh, plenty of CEO's have been wrong in the past.
102.    10/09/10    Recently the Club has stated that the 'commerical viability' of staff patrols will be based on what 'restrictive working conditions' patrols are willing to trade to fund a payrise. Some of these conditions include 'start points, meals & finish points'.
103.    10/09/10    A direct quote from our CEO at a recent luncheon - 'A lot of people think we are a roadside business. Well, we are not. We are a membership business and the real critical thing is the database of knowing our members.'
104.    10/07/10    the previous message was from our CEO,may be he needs to look at the wage comparison.
105.    10/03/10    We all know that RACQ is a respected Queensland icon, built on the back of the honesty, generosity and professionalism of our Patrols and everyone who supports them. But times are changing, new competitors seem to appear overnight, and RACQ must adapt wit
106.    09/24/10    R I P Henry Anderson 02 49
107.    09/24/10    Sad news - ex Patrol Henry Anderson passed away yesterday
108.    09/01/10    Hi Alan you wouldn't have known Tom mate he came after you left. T.p.
109.    08/22/10    Here's hoping for a good outcome from the current eb negotiations. Similar to the last one would be good, a fair pay rise without any change in working conditions. :-)
110.    08/19/10    Patrol survey forms and feedback for EB only went to financial AMWU patrol members. Stew 81
111.    08/09/10    i did,nt get a survey form! only some patrols getting it?

118.    06/23/10    letting you all know that the presentations for gold battery and CTEK sales will take place at the past and present do on july 7 patrols who are there on the night will receive their prizes.
119.    06/06/10    me too
120.    06/03/10    Is it just me that cant see the picture gallery

122.    05/20/10    Hi Guys, Paul Gunner here from SA. Just looking at the company profit. Unbelievable. Hope you are able to get a share of it in your EBA. The struggle continues her in SA as I'm sure it does for you Queensland. Look forward tocatching up soon.
123.    05/19/10    The RACQ board of directors have been given a 58 per cent pay rise after this weeks annual general meeting.wow bring on our new EB agrrement.
124.    05/18/10    Hey Allan - a match is used in conjunction with petrol to committ fraud or exact revenge. Just a thought - Stew 81
125.    05/15/10    $60 mill profit - it doesn't matter who you work for or where you work those at the bottom doing the work are always forgotten unless there are cut backs to be made
126.    05/15/10    a match is a small piece of wood with a red head!!!
127.    05/14/10    A match is a consumable tool for lighting a fire in controlled circumstances(Wikipedia)
128.    05/11/10    what is a match ? Allan 039
129.    05/11/10    if any patrols have an adress or email of past patrols or call centre staff please let me know at chiratos@bigpond .net .au
130.    05/03/10    See the latest AGM - $60 million dollar profit! I wonder if the patrols will be paid their dues.....doubt it.
131.    05/01/10    Could we do a mail out to all the old patrols who have left?
132.    04/27/10    any patrols still in touch with past patrols can you let them know about the past and present do on the 7/7/2010 lets make this one special
133.    04/27/10    re: tyre depth if all else fails use a match head same as minimum depth

158.    12/10/09    What is real good thing about the new vwhicles? No RACQ lite so you don't have people jumping out you thinking you are a taxi. There are others as well but this one stands out.
159.    12/08/09    To National Alliance; Be very carefull, Laws of physics states that any FORCE that continues to EXPAND will ultimately Explode Craig 076
160.    12/04/09    Thanks to Sarah & her helper for a great nite @ the Motoring Service Chrisse party. For those that missed it put it on ya calendar for next it was a good nite.T.p.
161.    11/24/09    A national Alliance is a gret idea.We need to keep the patrols as one entity and a growing force that continues to expand accross Australia..
162.    11/18/09    My name is Barry Cullen – Patrol 346(Convenor/Senior Delegate) at NRMA in Sydney. If you need to verify ask your Patrol Craig Mann (Brisbane-I think) ex Sydney Patrol/Union Rep.cont:
163.    11/18/09    I was recently contacted by RAASA Patrol & Union Organiser Paul Gunner about forming a National Alliance of Patrols to deal with, what seems to be ever increasing similar issues. Least of all our viability in the future. www.raapatrols.freeforums.org
164.    11/14/09    has anyone come across a 99 model nissan Terrano 2 diesel with air flow meter fault
165.    11/10/09    Hello anybody home???????
166.    09/28/09    Ask Peter Burr he is a CSP area manager
167.    09/23/09    Can someone tell me what avenue you would have to take to become a contracted service provider for an area?
168.    09/15/09    BTW I have a ripper of a scar behind my right knee from a skin cancer removal. It takes 40 years or so to pay the price of being complacent it seems. Owen 038
169.    09/15/09    On the other hand, money might've been saved if they issued me with cargo shorts. They would've looked like longs & I wouldn't have to take em up. Owen 038
170.    09/14/09    Apparently you can roll the legs up just over your knee huckleberry fin or Tom Sawyer style .
171.    09/10/09    Pity !! just when I start shaving my legs now I have to cover them up. Or maybe this is why shorts are banned. JT
172.    09/08/09    T.P. You dont seem to worried when your riding. Last time I saw you riding your legs weren't covered.
173.    09/08/09    I don't know I don't wear shorts and never had. But if you contact the Cancer mob I am sure they could give you better stats than this site. T.p.
174.    09/07/09    NO shorts NOW i can wear white socks Yeah Yeah
175.    09/04/09    Whats with not having any shorts with the new unifrorm issue. Has any Patrol ever got skin cancer on their leg before?

180.    07/09/09    Don't be to pedantic about spelling errors on this site Owe! Just telling a brief story like others and you, not writting a book. Ah-yeh, you only need one of these "!" not two at the end of your sentence.
181.    07/08/09    Yep, I can remember the days when we collected a coMMission as well. We also used drive to members homes to collect renewals. I can only imagine the bellowing that would ensue these days when we had to pay those renewals in at Westpac!! Owen 038

184.    07/07/09    Just a matter of interest if I remember correctly! Many years back (early to mid '80's) before the development of the IT systems, patrols did get paid a small fee as comissions joining a member/insurance? Short lived.
185.    07/03/09    When I was a country CSP we got $2 for signing up a mem! 52
186.    07/03/09    re "I think". You do, it's called a paypacket. No members = no job. Stop being so bloody greedy!!
187.    07/02/09    'comission to join' You can't even spell the word properly. If you're really that desperate I'll give ya $10 if you post your name. How many have you joined up by the way? Owen 038

203.    06/19/09    looks like the squeaky wheel is getting a bit annoying again. Patrols unite, that's all is needed.
