Raven. AKC black/tan/brindle. Very sweet, affectionate, and playful. Very Smart! Likes to go car riding and being held. Been spayed and is crate trained! Was so ugly as a puppy I couldn't give her away, now she is the prettiest girl. Excellent conformation, size and disposition. Great mouser too! Her message, "Ugly ducklings rule! Even the not-so-cute puppies can be the best pet you ever had." |

Sammy. With 3 1/2 legs, no tail, a crooked back, poor vision, neutered, and deaf in one ear, he is still going strong. Sammy has been run over 3 times, attacked by a Rottweiler, and escaped euthinasia by his first owner that "got tired of feeding him". He's been with us for about 6 years now and is "THE MAN" of the yard. When we get home, he runs the perimeter of the yard, barking to let us know that its safe now, come on in. His message, "Take care of your dachsie, keep 'em safe and even though I grow up, I'm still your little guy and need a hug just like the puppies do." |

GIRL
Yep, just "GIRL". She didn't even get a real name. She is our postor child. Obviously not a dachshund, but we loved her all the same! Tied up, beat down, starved, dehydrated, mangy and loaded with ticks/fleas, and pregnant, she was a candidate for euthenasia because she was so food aggresive and abused. No vet would help place her because of her history. We acquired her at one year old in this condition and managed to get her as healthy as possible. We also worked on the food aggression and had wonderful results! Unfortunately, Girl died shortly after giving birth due to heartworms. She was a great dog. Her message is obvious..."Love me, hold me, feed me...I want to live and be happy like you do..."
