Hot day on the water, temps in the 90’s and water temps started out at 79 degrees and rose to 88. Light winds and partly cloudy skies made it difficult on some anglers to locate fish. However someone always manages to find some. Most taken on Senko’s and soft plastics.

The day started out mild, light winds and cool temps in the morning had the top water bite on. Once the sun and heat hit, it ended. However the crank-bait was working all day long and brining in some nice fish. Soft plastics accounted for the majority of fish. Surprising weights for this time of year, just shows you that these Suffolk lakes are indeed full of top quality fish. Pictures pending.

• Warm weather, party cloudy skies with air temps in the high eighties, wind slight breeze, water temps around 77 degrees. Most anglers had a tough time finding fish and pulling the numbers. However Jerry and his Grand son manage a nice stringer with 12.04 lbs to take first place, they indicated that Senkos were responsible for their bag. Most anglers indicated soft plastics were the key, while their were reports of crank bait and top water action. Pictures coming.

• The anticipation for this tourney was high; everyone expected that the top water bite would be on. As with everything dealing with fishing, the top water bite was not to be, some reports of fish taken on top but no where what we had hoped for. The day started of clear, turned hot quickly and later in the afternoon had storms roll through. Most fish taken on senkos and or some type of soft plastics. Roccoa and Mike take 1^st place honors and big fish taken by Rick Williams.

Bass-Jon’s conducted its seventh tourney of the year on Lake Whitehurst. The day was great temps in the low eighties, with partly cloudy skies with light winds. Water temp hovered around 80 degrees. The fishing for Whitehurst was typical; those managing 5 fish did well. Mike Howie managed big fish with a nice 5.04 Hawg. Most fish caught on some sort of plastic, 2^nd place used crank baits.
