Angling History:

Started fishing at a young age, my mother and I fished the flats in Ocean City, Maryland for flounder, croaker and blue crab. When I turned 18 years old I enlisted in the Navy been all over the world, some places much better then others. In 2006 I earned the rank of Chief Petty Officer one of the greatest highlights of my career. I am currently stationed onboard the Fleet Admirals Barge in Norfolk, Virginia as the craft master of the vessel.

I have been fishing freshwater for about 5 years, Bought my first boat a 12ft Star Craft named (Miss Jenny)with a 1969 Johnson motor. Was my pride and joy I would fish Lake Prince every opportunity that I got. Started with catching sunfish and crappie loved it. Then one day while I was fishing for bream I caught my first bass that was all it took now I am addicted. Bought a bigger boat and joined Bass-Jon’s this past winter. I love the club there is so much knowledge out there it is hard to consume it all. Every time we fish a tournament the better I become. Learning new techniques and fishing styles and the
- As always this Angler of the Month is bestowed on individuals who portray the values on which Bass-Jon’s the club and web site are founded, "Share the Knowledge". Luthers has just started with the club this year. Already a key player in the club, his pride and openness about fishing is a well known at our share the knowledge sessions we have after weigh ins. He is the first to volunteer and help out at the tournaments. Quick with a come back and ramp talk. Luther is a welcome addition to the club. He has quickly become a threat on the water and one to watch during tourneys. Hope to have him in the club for years to come.. Congratulations on your selection of Angler of the Month.
