Chihuahuas come in every shape, color, and size!! No two are a like!!
We offer the common colored chi, as well as a variety of unique and exotic colors including shades of blue, brindle & merle in the traditional smooth or long coats. Most of our Chihuahuas do range on the smaller side of the scale, but we do not breed "t-cups" as ... "Chihuahuas by any name ARE STILL Chihuahuas!"
People call Chihuahuas under 3lbs "teacup" & 3-5lbs "tiny or toy" most of the time as selling points, but the AKC standard for weight is 2-6lbs (although some chi are smaller or larger than the standards). For their small size, chihuahuas are excellent with children and other animals ... please keep in mind that the smaller chihuahuas are more delicate and do require adult supervision! The chihuahua has a life expectancy of 15-20 years so you must consider this BEFORE buying one!!

Why is the Chihuahua so popular you might ask ... well some think it started a few years ago with the $500 million dollar ad campaign starring the talking Taco Bell dog .. maybe it was due the Legally Blonde movies starring Reese Witherspoon and 'Bruiser the Chihuahua' .. maybe it was Paris Hilton showing off her Chihuahua 'Tinkerbell' on Fox's hit show The Simple Life .. or maybe it is due to Hollywood stars owning these little dogs? Whatever started the craze we may never know, but countless individuals (including Hollywood stars) are discovering these little dogs are the perfect pet ... being small, low maintenance, long lived, human loving dogs who love to be held and want nothing more than to cuddle & please their humans. It also helps that chihuahuas don't mind being dressed up in those cute outfits!!

A few televised and publisized Chihuahua owning stars include: Madonna, Paris Hilton, Brittney Spears, Sharon & Ozzy Osbourne, Paula Abdul, Christina Ricci, Reese Witherspoon, Rosie O'Donald, Anne Heche, Jennifer Lopez (J Lo), George Lopez (no relation), Rod Stewart, Hulk Hogan-Bollea, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Noah Wyle, David Copperfield, and countless others joining the list almost daily. The newest addition joining the ranks of fellow stars was Hillary Duff (best known from Disney's Lizzie McGuire), which purchased her blue fawn female puppy (December '04) and then another fawn male puppy for one of her friends a few days later.
