For more than a few people, prison is the starting point, onto the path of enlightenment...
Over thirty years ago, (in 1975) this writer experienced what is usually described as an out-of-body experience. It was coupled with an sensation of Being everything in the general vicinity, including the room, the atmosphere outside the window and the air between. It also included the trees directly outside and the plants and grass and the slight breeze. I felt as if I were One with everything.
Unlike the typical associations usually ascribed to these kinds of experiences, there was no sensation of what is called an ’astral body’ but rather, an awareness that “I” was everything. While seeming to float away from the body, the sensation was accompanied by a succession of “sounds” which were as three distinctive notes in progressive octave scale, like ‘do-re-me’ but each note up the scale of the octave was as if all of the instruments in all of the orchestras all over the world were playing in unparalleled harmony.
The experience was completely sudden and quite unexpected and more, it came even void of any previous point of reference, that is, never having been a ‘seeker’ or a student of the divine, it came as if liken to the cart before the horse, from which I would begin a life-long search for knowledge and the Source for the experience.
It came immediately after a day filled with apathy and despair, and after hours of begging for help. It came after a period of Thankfulness and Gratitude for having been delivered from a particularly dangerous situation, rescued from certain demise to safety. The experience was so undeniable and so powerful (while gentle and all Loving) it left an indelible effect that would forever question the validity of the ego and the urgency to seek out the real source for All and Everything.
Letter To A Prisoner...
...Was written as a labor of Love. It is the intention to share with prisoners
everywhere, the Truth that they can have, do and be anything they desire,
absolutely anything....without exception....
and they can do so even now as they occupy that small prison cell, whether
they're facing just a few years or many years or even a Life sentence. It is a
message to the families and loved ones of prisoners that the person they once
knew who made the unproductive or harmful choices that to led to prison, is an
entity of the past. That person will be gone forever and replaced with the
grandest of living proof that the Source makes no mistakes.
It is a guide to the reality, that right this minute a whole new
person can emerge and turn the rest of his or her life around forever.
Letter to a Prisoner is the true account of events as they occured to this
writer, an ex-convict, while serving a ten year sentence. It's the story of a
remarkable experience often described as an out-of-body experience, coupled
with an expansion of Consciousness. It was a brief but all enlightening glimpse
into an entire world of new possibilties.
It was a major fork in the road, a life altering event that completely changed
this life from one of career criminality to something very different. The event
proved beyond any doubt that something greater and much bigger than the
eyes can see, is behind everything that is. It substanciated with concrete
clarity the evidence that the Power of the Source flows through everyone,
and everything without distinction or preference,... all the time.
Letter To A Prisoner is a few simple suggestions that if followed, would lead
any prisoner, regardless of his past crimes or previous history to a whole new
way of life, void of regret, grief, despair and guilt. The only requirement is
faith in one-Self and a devoution to a valid committment to change for the
better for himself and everyone around him.
Letter to a Prisoner is a book/message written to and for prisoners everywhere by a ten year veteran of one of Illinois' State penitentiaries.
Thirty years ago, while serving time for armed robbery, he experienced a remarkable and miraculous life altering revelation. The 'out-of-body' experience was a profound, highly charged connection with the Source that instantly transformed a ruthless criminal and provided a brief but powerful look into the reality of All And Everything.
