Shirley has been singing since the tender age of ten in churches and choirs.

Shirley now sings in night clubs and in the Ottawa church choir and solos for groups.

Anyone who's heard Shirley Martin's voice has agreed that it's uniquely her own one of a kind sound.

She took up piano lessons as a kid. Since then she's taken voice. She also has taken professional songwriting lessons.  Her work was accepted by Songlink International ,Taxi ,and Music2deal.com which only accept highly uniquely original professional music from singer/songwriters in the big leagues. Only one percent of all musicians are good enough to be accepted.  Her work was up for consideration by different highly professional recording artists. They said that Shirley should sing the songs herself and to give them that unique sound that they deserved because she did a way better job than they could on singing them. Shirley's now making a full length L.P due to the many many requests of the public in the last couple of years. Shirley's manager Charmaine Therrien is very confident  that  she will continue to do great things in the music Business. Shirley writes in the style of Hilary Duff /Celine Dion with a refreshing twist, which is a pop style. Shirley grew up in Thunder Bay Ontario. She now lives in Gatineau Quebec with her husband and two small children.
