We appreciate your interest in one of our puppies. When we do have puppies available we ask that you please read this before you contact us , this will answer some of the most common questions. Thanks !
*We require that each new prospective puppy buyer to fill our our puppy application, please e mail me at Rhoden's Great Danes for this application. No one will be considered for a puppy until we have your application on file.
* All puppies will be vet checked, had at least the first vaccination by 8 weeks old, ALL puppies are hand raised indoors, we start the house breaking process at aprox. 5-6 weeks old and we given each puppy much love and attention.
**ALL PUPPIES SOLD ON CONTRACTS- NO EXCEPTIONS!
*We reserve the right to not sell or place a puppy with anyone we choose, even if a payment has been made toward a specific puppy we always reserve the right to refund money if we feel the home is not suitable for any reason, at any time! Of course if WE decide not to place a puppy in a specific home we will refund deposits/payments. We only refund deposits/payments when we feel the home is not suitable and we cancel the transaction. If you back out of the puppy the deposit that has been put down to hold a puppy will not be refunded.
*We require that you contact us by phone, we can not rely on e mail alone to screen new homes for our puppies. If we are away from the phone please call back shortly, we are never away from the phone for long periods at a time. If you leave a message please remember that we get hundreds of phone calls and can not possibly call everyone back- so please call us back. Our number is 870-699-4945.
*Once a puppy has been picked out and we have approved the new owners, we require a none-refundable deposit (in the form of a money order) to hold the puppy of your choice. This deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE should you change your mind and back out of your puppy. So please be certain of you of your commitment. Once we have received a verbal agreement that you want a certain puppy and are sending a deposit, we give 3-5 working days to receive your deposit (depending on your location). After the 3rd- 5th day, we will place the puppy back available if the deposit did not arrive as promised. We require money order or cash for all payments. We do not accept personal checks or cashiers checks from anyone at any time. Also now we are able to take paypal, this is for approved payments only... someone we havent approved can not send a payment to hold a puppy and it be a vaild contract. We HAVE to approve the home FIRST before any payment has been sent. If we approve a new home and you do send your payment(s) thru paypal- please add 3% for paypal fee's. Paypal will charge 3% on the end of the receiver (my end), so please just add 3% in order to cover these fee's.
If we have to board your puppy past the 8 weeks of age, we may require a fee for boarding per day.
** Once a puppy has been picked out and a deposit has been sent we will send out weekly pictures and updates of your puppy so you can watch him/her grow.
*We are not able to hold puppies with out deposits, deposits may be worked out in order for you to make payments on deposits. But we can not hold puppies with out deposits.
* When puppies are born and evaluation of the litter has taken place we will need the following as deposits; Full AKC show/breeding prospects the deposits are $500. Limited AKC reg. with spay/neuter contracts, deposits are $300. We do not accept deposits until homes are approved. Please remember deposits are Non-Refundable.
*We require that all puppies being picked up in person to be paid for by 8 weeks of age. Of course you can pay for them earlier, but we require full payment by 8 weeks of age.
*Puppies that are being shipped are required to be paid for in full by 6 weeks of age. This includes the puppy costs and all related shipping costs. This gives us only 2 short weeks to make shipping arrangements which is needed time to get your puppy to you by 8 weeks of age. If puppy and related shipping fees arent paid in full by this time it will possibly delay shipping time due to not being able to schedule your puppy on time. And see below for information regarding airport trips.
* When shipping puppies we will make arrangements to take all puppies being shipped to the airport at one time. We are over an hour in distance one way from our National Airport-closest airport (well over 2 hours round trip, not to mention the fact that we stay at least another hour or so checking puppies in, so this takes up alot of our time). *Due to gasonline prices and our busy schedules we need to add this to our policy * If you are not able to accept your puppy on the day we schedule for airline drop off then you may very well be asked to pay a fuel/service fee for a return trip to the airport. Fees will vary depending on fuel prices.
*SHIPPING IS WEATHER PERMITTING ONLY! Please be prepared to pick up your puppy in person if we are unable to ship due to temperature restrictions. Deposits will not be refunded due to us not being able to ship for any reason. If we have to ship puppies out of a different airport other than Little Rock National, we will be charging a service and fuel charge to do so. These prices vary due to gasoline price changes.
*All pet puppies are sold on limited AKC registration with spay/neuter contracts. We require all pet puppies to be spayed or neutered before the age of 8 months old ! And we require written proof from your veterinarian before the age of 8 months old. Their are NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule ! We hold all AKC limited papers until we receive proof that the puppy has been altered. Once we receive proof, we will mail your puppy's AKC limited registration papers to you via postal mail. IF our puppy purchase contract has been upheld in ALL ways!
*We take our puppy contracts VERY seriously and if new owner breaks our contract in any way, the terms and conditions will be null and void! You break our contract- we will not uphold our end of the contract as well with any health guarantees !
*We rarely place puppies with full AKC registration (as show/breeding prospects). If you are inquiring about a show/breeding prospect please be aware that we screen homes thoroughly for people requesting one of our puppies for breeding. You may be required to committ to one of the following, 1) required to do a co/ownership on a Rhoden's Great Danes puppy/dog 2) required to show your puppy/dog in AKC conformation shows BEFORE breeding 3) be willing to sign a breeding contract that allows us (Rhoden's Great Danes) to help make breeding decisions for the puppy/dog you purchased from us. When new breeders want to breed a Rhoden's Great Danes puppy or dog, you need a mentor ! And we happily provide that service to you :) Full AKC registration papers come with show/breeding prospects.
*We request two forms of references before we will consider placing a puppy. One should be your normal vet (a must). The other one should be from a non-relative.
*Keep in mind that when you purchase a puppy from us we expect you to keep us updated and send pictures on a regular basis. AND FOLLOW OUR FEEDING GUIDLINES!!! Also, IF you are no longer able to care for the puppy/dog that you purchase from us, this puppy/dog MUST be returned to us along with any paper work (akc or otherwise) so we can find the best home for him/her. We are always responsible for the puppies we bring into this world and take this very serious ! YOUR HEALTH WARRANTY AND ANY CONTRACT AGREEMENT WILL BE VOIDED IF YOU DO NOT KEEP US UPDATED ON THIS PUPPY!
*Prices vary from each puppy, for each color and markings and type of registration/show/breeding quality. We give discounts for spay/neuter contracts. Pet-Quality Great Danes from reputable breeders generally start at around $650 and can go as much as $1500, with show quality pups starting at $1500.00 going in excess
of $3,000 depending on pedigree, color, and quality. These are the closest ideas of prices we can give you until the puppies are born, our adpotion prices are not set until the puppies are evaluated. **NOTE** We do not discuss prices or answer one liner e mails from people in e mails.. first we want to learn more about you and the home you be able to provide for one of our babies. One liner e mails asking the prices will not be answered. We feel that if price is your main concern, then this isnt the best choice for our babies future homes. *NOTE* On all full registration puppies. We will only place a full AKC reg. show/breeding prospects in homes that have the same ideas and breeding policies as we do. We will not place a full registration puppy in a home that is not a experienced show/breeding (reputable) with out a co/ownership ! It is important that the quality of our puppies stays- good quality and not over bred !
