RESEARCH ANALYST
Salary: 57,448 - 63,274 annually
Job Description: Job responsibilities include providing the research and analysis necessary to develop and support ongoing business, financial and sales objectives.
Gathering and analyzing data to determine the impact on business and financial operations and objectives.
Conducting research projects, which incorporate project design and data collection and analysis.
Performing modeling, valuations, and research writing on the assigned industry or business sector.
Developing recommendations for operational policies and procedures.
Presenting analyses to management in a clear, concise, and proactive manner.
Qualifications:
Position requires candidates with strong written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of fincnce, statistics, accounting and/or consumer credit is required, as is proficiency with software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and Powerpoint. Expertise with data mining tools such as SAS, SOL, and Oracle 8 is also desired. A bachelor's degree in management, finance, mathematics, statistics, or economics is required; a master's degree in these fields, and a professional designation such as certified financial analyst (CFA), is strongly recommended. A minimum of two to three years of experience in banking and capital markets is expected.
