England and St George!
God for England! Harry, and Saint George!
"Gather here yee noble warriors of England. What cause is this we fight in the name of Saint George? It is the cause of good men. I ask thee, each one, to go forth with me on this crusade of peace, of goodwill, of trust, and bear with me my noble brethren, for we shall be met by those who jeer, and laugh, and who belittle our noble land and call us all kinds of names. But we are strong, as Englishmen must be strong. We are proud, as Englishmen must be proud. And in the end we'll see off these moribund, supercillious, sanctimonious, self-loving, prissy-toed, mealy-mouthed, two-faced little twits and their snidey remarks, (arh-um!) and ban them all to the far reaches of the dullest part of our old Empire. Which is.....Most of Canada? Northern Australia? Eastern South Africa? South Island New Zealand? New Jersey? Sligo? And yet, dear brethren, we can still, and always will, sing this, our song."
( to the tune 'Onward Christian Soldiers.'- well sort of )
"Let us praise her noble towns, her fields of patchwork green, For we have never seen the like wherever we have been. Let us praise her hallowed hills, her valleys soft and still, Let us walk where Kings and Queens have ruled with honest will. Let us ride with Knights of old upon this blessed land, For we have never found a place where life can be so grand. Let us carry forth the flag wherever we may be, Let us show this world how much, 'This England' means to thee. Let us when our day is done return from o'er the sea, For we must rest on English soil, our hearts forever free."
