Insults "Devined"

As we all know there is great animosity between the religions. Here are just a few worthy comments.

"ALL RELIGION IS ARROGANCE. How in dear God's name can any group, ethnic or otherwise, solemnly declare that THEY know the true God and that THEIR religion is the only one GOD recognizes? What arrogance. God is God. God is intelligent. God has no favourites. Religion is just a club to bring fellow believers together."
Bishop Aldous MacPherson, Church of Scotland.

ANGLICANS: 'The Anglican religion is nothing but an organization of Brits trying to revive a dead empire.'
Senior Elder Max Ledburgh, Church of Latter Day Saints.

BUDDHISTS: 'Buddism appears to be a religion of fat people who squat a lot.'
Adam Steinham, senior Jewish theologist.

CONFUCIANISM: To understand this religion one has to be confused in the first place, Chinese in the second place, and be able to write with chopsticks.'
Tim Jakes, US Comedian

CALVINISM: 'It is said that the followers of John Calvin believe that all that is required to get into Heaven is to work hard. The harder you work, the sooner you drop dead, and get there.'
Reverend Taylor Calder, Anglican Church.

PRESBYTERIAN: 'Of all the pious self-centred believers in God these twerps come second only to Jehovah's Witnesses.'
Adian Lowe, Church of the Holy.

ROMAN CATHOLICS: 'Nothing peeves me more than these silly people who think they are Gods only children. We are all Gods children. Even the savages as yet not reborn.'
Barry Pentland, Reborn Christian Church.

MORMONS: 'What a load of old nonsense these Mormons are. Golden plates, a bible that is mostly Jewish, and the right to have lots of wives. Better they stay in Salt Lake.'
Akafd Maklu, Church of the Nazarene in Africa. Bishop.

JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES: 'If truth has it this group of believers invented themselves in the late 1800's because they felt that God had left out the Americans. Imagine God forgetting Uncle Sam? Sometimes I wish he had.'
Jim Vince, UK comedian

7th DAY ADVENTISTS: 'If another one of these creeps touches me I'm going to scream,'
New recruit at a 'hands-on' rally for 7th Day Ads.

ISLAM: 'Murder, mayhem, and torture - all in the name of a loving God. Really??
Bishop Patrick O'Neil, Catholic Church US.

SHIITES: 'The name has always bothered me. Has no one ever told them that their name is synonymous with human waste? On that point alone I cannot see this lot getting into Heaven first.'
Jarrad McLean, Presbyterian minister.

JEWS: 'Their base argument is that God gave them Palestine. He didn't. God has given no land to anyone. Whether it's called Palestine, Israel, or America. Once the Jews realize that, they will then be able to join the regular world. And God's world. It's his. Not theirs.'
An Arab of note who wished to remain anonymous because of possible reprisals by the Jews.

HARE KRISHNA - MOONIES - ZEN, and other CULTS:
'We need these people to remind us just how silly we can get in the belief of God. We tend to forget that belief is simple. God does not expect bald heads, tamborines, weird ceremonies, beards, turbans, headscarves, skullcaps, or anything like that at all. Just your belief - not worship - your simple honest belief.'
William E. Harrison, Bishop of Monmouth.

And now for something from the North American Native Indian religious culture.  If you find all the above less than fulfilling, then read this:

THE WINGS OF THE GREAT SPIRIT

If you ever find the feather of a bird, remember it is a feather from the wings of The Great Spirit. You were meant to find it. You must keep the feather. It is a great sign that The Great Spirit knows of your journey through life, and he is helping you make that journey by shedding his own feathers so that you may make your way through life safely, and with good fortune.  They are HIS feathers, from HIS great wings. If you find many feathers, then your life is even more blessed by The Great Spirit. Remember, you must find The Great Spirits feathers, not be given them. HE places them in your path through life. They come directly from HIM.
