Nature lovers, rock hounds, camera buffs, hikers, biking, snowmobilers and fisherman will find lots to see and explore on the side roads and trails throughout the area. there are ten lakes within ten miles. we have hiking trails, historical museum and park, small campground on Pillar Lake, motel, pub, grocery store, PetroCan gas station, Canada Post Office, three restaurants, vintage wares stores, RCMP station, large community hall, community learning centre (CAP Site), library, etc.

The weather cooperated and Saturday was packed. Very Successful event! June 26-28, Blue Grass at the Stampede grounds, Friday & Saturday= 1-4:30pm, 6-9:30pm, Sunday 10am to 12 noon, Weekend pass=$10/person, Day pass=$5/person, Parking $5/day, dry camping only, further info = 250-379-2155 = Barry
The bull riding was very well attended by aprox. 2000 spectators. Apparently the bulls won....June 20th, World Professional Bull Riding, 6pm at the stampede grounds, further info = 1-778-847-2855, gates open 5pm, admission $15, children 12 and under free. Concession and beer garden on grounds. Approx. 30 bulls participating.
