PAPER BOAT

I put my pen to paper
A poem for you I wrote
I had it perfumed with feelings
And flavored with my innocent thought
And then I got the paper folded
Into a little paper boat

Swiftly carrying all my thought

I left my little paper boat
To swiftly sail my river of tears
Carrying my thoughts as whispers
So that nobody ever hears
Until it safely lands your shore
Reaching your delicate heart and ears

My trembling tiny paper boat
So loaded with emotion
The waves of passion made it sink
To the bottom of your ocean
To uncover your secrets
Of love and your devotion

By the shore I have waited
And left you a simple note
Hoping that you'd send me back
A sample of your thought
May be words ,or a song
Or a simple passion quote
Born from the depth of your heart
And on the blue waters float
