Desert Diamond Sport Horses

Welcome to Desert Diamond Sport Horses!

First of all thank you for visiting my website.

We have gotten some bad news and I will be getting out of the breeding business. All of my horses are for sale including my stallions.

It looks like I will be having one more litter of Aussies. Time got away from me and needless to say I din't catch my girl in time to lock her up.  We will be having puppys the end of Oct. 09  and they will be ready the end of Dec 09. These dogs are great ranch dogs, not rigestered but beautiful with great temperments.

Thank all of you for your support.

ALL PRICES ON HORSES ARE NEGOTIABLE.  ALL OFFERS CONSIDERED.  JUST CONTACT ME WE'LL TALK.

I accept PayPal for payment or deposits through my e-mail address.

We stand 2 stallions here at our little place, one is BST Mondavi a Breeders Sweepstakes Enrolled Arabian. He is out of 4 consecutive Honor & Fame Stallions. Starting with the Morafic son, Shaikh Al Badi, was the 1972 U.S. Reserve National Futurity Champion. Shaikh Al Badi sired Ruminaja Ali, the 1979 U.S. National Champion Futurity Colt and the 1983 U.S. Reserve National Champion Stallion. Ruminaja Ali sired Ali Jamaal the 1985 U.S. National Champion Futurity Colt and the 1990 U.S. National Champion Stallion. Then Ali Jamaal sired BST Dajamaal, the 1993 U.S. National Champion Futurity Colt.

BST Mondavi has a splash of Spanish with *Barich De Washoe. The rest of his breeding is *Bask++ and his offspring. BST Mondavi has a wonderful temperment, great conformation with nice movement that he passes on to his get. He has not been shown due to family illness. That doesen't make him any less of a producer. It just lowers his stud fee.

My second stallion is a tri colored Homozygous Paint coming 2 this year. His sire is Diamonds In Gold and his Dam is Bold Indian Attitude. We haven't seen what he can produce yet as he is still to young to breed. But we are looking to see the color he brings us next year. He has excellent bone and conformation. His temperment is sweet and gentle. I can't wait to ride him. His pedigree is about half Thoroughbred the rest Paint and Quarterhorse.

Our focus on breeding is to do it responsiblly by only breeding one of our own  mares per year if that. Some years we don't breed at all. We aspire to provide our horses with a natural environment, age adequate consistent exercise as well as fair and carring natural horsemenship treatment. Unlike a lot of breeders out their who mass produce foals looking for the one that will take them to "stardom", I breed rarely and breed the best that I have. I try to produce a foal that is conformationally correct and athletic. I won't breed to just any mare. I am not in it for the amount of money I can make per foal. I feel responsible for each and every horse I own, breed or buy. We start training our foals as soon as they are born and handle them daily. Since we only have one per year it is easy to do. I believe that they need a solid foundation in order to be loved and find their forever home. I have been training horses for over 40 years. I don't train professionally. I apprenticed under a man who was a fantastic trainer for 5 years. Unfortunately he passed away 37 years ago and is still greatly missed. During those five years I spent every weekend, holiday, and summer vacation with him (the trainer that died) learning how to start young horses and retrain spoiled ones. He was a great teacher and friend.

I receive love letters from people that buy my horses and dogs. So if you want a forever friend (horse or dog) just look at my for sale page.I also breed Austrailian Shepards and on occasion have a litter for sale.
