Salmoides Classic

Kentucky Lake 2005

Congratulations to Bill Lowen of Cincinnati, Ohio and Jeff Ablanalp of Cincinnati, Ohio on their 1^st place finish at Kentucky Lake Salmoides Classic. Their winning weight of 55.44 lbs. earned them a check of $16,000 and automatic qualification for the 2006 Salmoides Classic to be held at Moors Resort on Kentucky Lake May 11-12, 2006. Knowing they would be back to defend their championship they took the 5^th amendment in revealing their winning techniques. In winning the Classic, Bill and Jeff set a new Salmoides Classic record for total weight. Bill Lowen thanked Plapp’s Pro Outdoors for keeping their team on the water during this tournament.

Congratulations also go to Steve Floyd of Sabina, Ohio and John Borges of Cincinnati, Ohio on their 2^nd place finish with a very close weight of 55.06 lbs. and a check of $8,000. Steve was also the highest Ranger Cup finisher which earned him another $1,000. When asked how they caught their fish they revealed that they were casting tubes and lizards in 2 to 3 feet of water on Barkley Lake. Steve would like to thank his sponsors Ranger Boats and Dixie Marine for their great support.

3^rd place and congratulations goes to Ken Kieffer of Sardinia, Ohio and John (Turtle man) Carter of Chilo, Ohio on their winning catch of 45.30 lbs. and a classic check of $4,000. John and Ken also pleaded the fifth on revealing their winning catch.
